In a noteworthy development for residents of the Greater Dayton area, Rumpke Waste & Recycling has announced a temporary halt and delays in their trash collection services this week, primarily due to adverse weather conditions. A representative from the company shared this information, emphasizing the impact of the current weather on operations.
On Monday, all trash and recycling collection services were suspended throughout the Greater Dayton region. As weather conditions improve, Rumpke intends to resume operations with a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.
Residents are kindly requested to leave their trash and recycling at the curb as the company works to restore regular service during the week ahead.
"We take the decision to suspend our services very seriously," stated Kevyn Vasquez, the operations manager at Rumpke. "However, our primary concern must be the safety of our employees, our customers, and everyone on the road. Our current plan is to collect trash from customers scheduled for Monday on Tuesday, those set for Tuesday on Wednesday, and continue this pattern until Friday's collections, which will occur on Saturday."
